New Master Bathroom

Courtney and myself have been working on our bathroom for some time. If you have ever been to our house previous to this new look, you would remember that our bathroom was straight out of 1978. It had a strange green and white speckled tile in the shower, with 12 inch light tan tile on the floor. Obviously the tile on the floor had been updated, but not by much.

This all started with a leak we had over three months ago. We had a plumber out and he said that the leak was coming from the tile and grout itself. While trying to clean out the grout, the tile started falling out of the wall. We decided to do the tile work ourselves, with the help of Russ, who had done several tile jobs before.

Russ was here for almost a week during demolition, rebuilding of the shower stall and getting the tile laid out and the first sections cut. Russ became ill and had to leave, but he helped us get a great start!

One thing led to another and somehow along the way we ended up with an entirely new bathroom. The following pictures show the results:
